Mammography
Mammography is a breast examination performed by a low dose of X-rays.
It is used as a diagnostic tool to identify tumours and cysts and is recommended as a screening test of your own breast cancer, allowing its prevention.
Mammography performed at our centre, uses latest generation devices with rotating anode (0.07 mm fire).
During the procedure, the breast is gently compressed through a dedicated instrument. This is to allow the uniformity of breast tissue, increasing image quality, reducing motion artifacts, and reducing the required dose of radiation.
